President Muhammadu Buhari has terminated the appointment of the Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Mr. Alhaji Sanusi Bayero, according to a press statement sent by President’s office.
The press statement, sent by the Special Adviser to the President for Media and Publicity Femi Adesina, said that Mr. Bayero “is to hand over the management of the NPA and all government property in his possession to Mr. Habibu Abdullahi.”
“Mr. Abdullahi has been reinstated as the Managing Director of the NPA by President Buhari,” the statement added.
Mr. Bayero was appointed in April, 2015 as the Managing Director of the NPA by former President Goodluck Jonathan. He is the son of the former Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero.
